Proper sorting increases material recovery and can reduce waste management costs, as treating mixed waste is more expensive than sorted waste streams. The impact on an individual housing company&#8217;s costs depends on its waste volumes and the billing criteria used by the company.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">The waste chutes are meant for biowaste, cardboard, paper, plastic, and mixed waste.
